Versailles, France
On this sunny bright day out in France, I ventured out to The Versailles Palace. This particular shot is was captured in the royal Versailles Garden. For more about this venture click here, in the meantime I would love to share the fashion deets on my feet!
Those who know me and see me on a frequent basis know that flats are NOT my thing. However I'm becoming more inclined to the whole idea, considering travels with lots of commuting by feet...in Paris hardly anyone wore heels! Even for after hours, nightly dinners the ladies were well dressed 'Parisian Chic' in statement flats. I immediately took heed and realized I needed to adapt...I made arrangements for shopping and luckily this popular street for shopping in Paris, Rue du Commerce was not far from my hotel. I stumbled into ETAM and fell in love with these fancy flats! So cute they have the tassel fringe detail at the end of the lace. The fact that I don't own many flats, to find these in this hue I totally appreciate it. I hope to have these flats for sometime simply b/c I don't wear them often and they ARE from Paris!

NYE...
I enjoyed getting dressed for the occasion. I wanted to wear a 'subtle statement' dress...As I was going through my closet, I stumbled upon this dress which I had NEVER worn and thought it would be the perfect attire for a 6-course NYE dinner reserved for 40 guests. The perfect conversation piece as it was vocally stated 'You guys have to be the BEST DRESSED of the night!'😌... I picked this fancy frock up January 2013 from TOPSHOP location in Chicago, And can we agree its a piece that is OVER DUE?!? lol I love the exaggeration of the crystals & sequin on the sleeves which somehow 'randomly' meshed quite well with the venue décor. Adorned with a crystal headband & fur trimmed booties (not shown). I definitely felt fancy fashionably appropriately 💜
Designer Spotlight #iloveJendayi
Here recently for some apparent reason I have been navigating towards black attire, it is the original classy BTW. Dressed for the occasion, wearing separate chiffon pieces, a top and skirt accented with a crystal choker & lavender nails. The leather band is part of the blouse, which I love giving the illusion of a leather belt. The skirt is a special piece in my collection. Designed by Miami-Based Fashion Designer, Dara Jendayi (pronounced Jen-Die-Ee), presented to me October 2014 as a gift. I first met the designer November 2013, the fashion gods placed us together and we continued a budding relationship that we always connect whenever I am in Miami. Jendayi's Mission is
To provide the innovative high fashion wardrobe for the individual who invests in their dreams, their Art, themselves.
I so admire her mind as a young designer. She is constantly expanding in clothing design, photography, blogging, outreach and charity through fashion. She spreads important values like faith, self-love & beauty through wardrobe and the way it is presented.
Jendayi focuses on the individuals who value the Art of Fashion. She recently produced 'The Jendayi Fashion Show for Art Basel Miami 2015! She received amazing feedback from this event. If only I could've been present for such experience! In the meantime, check out 'all things Jendayi' by visiting her blog www.jendayidesign.com/blog. Enjoy!

Valentines Day❣
I love celebrating this day just as mush as I love dressing for the occasion😌 This fun chiffon frock, a BCBG design, was pulled right from my closet!💃🏾 Its actually sleeveless with a tie front sash, however I added a lace body suit underneath for this season temperatures and I tied it as a bow in the back as a fashionable gift for Valentines Day🎁. By doing so, the pleating detail has a better presence in the front. The dress is a mini, which set the look to wear my latest obsession, heeled 'OTK Boots' (gifted to me for my birthday & I'm completely smitten❣)...If you look close enough, you may notice the fur draped around my neck, the perfect winter accessory. Speaking of, I am the ultimate #glovesgirl and I simply adore those shown above with a fur trim; actually won them during the past holiday in a game of 'Dirty Santa' do you know of it?? ... both of the bracelets worn are Valentines Day gifts, gifted by a couple of my most loved. I will show an up-close look at them soon...that bronze 'Envelope' clutch bag was a 'hot item' from BCBG some seasons back, its the most versatile bag I own! lol. It was such a bright beautiful day on the holiday, I wore one of my favorite pair of "fashion statements for the face", Stevie Boi Shades. I cherish the personal relationship the eyewear designer and I have, #friendsinfashion, which I will share with you in another post :)...Aside from a fashion state of mine, I had an amazing Valentines, full of joy & lots of love and happiness!
