12/31/2019, As I sit and write my last post of the year on the last day this decade I want to take a moment and share this decade thru my eyes... Can we have a moment of transparency? Starting this decade I was in an internal dark place...going along with my day to day life; exceeding in my corporate career/ simultaneously my consulting endeavors, traveling the country for work, place to live, car paid for, great health, a loving supportive family, so many blessings stowed upon me. However I was suffering from an extreme case of anxiety caused by life itself. Even though life was great externally, I was always feeling unsure if I should move away from my family to further pursue my dreams before it was 'too late'. It really was nothing I could do to stop my emotions of anxiousness. Prayer played a huge part in me accepting my blessings, to be thankful & grateful for everything I had going and give it to God🙏🏾 Mid way of this decade, I randomly met an amazing person who I never thought would bring so much joy to my life. We became friends from different backgrounds with so much in common. One being his love for photography and my love for fashion, both a form of art that pairs perfectly together📸 Collaborating on projects, hanging out traveling the world we became best friends who fell in love♥️ Topping off this decade, my best friend is my partner for life and we have the sweetest little human together. Leaving corporate america deciding to be a full time WAHM is the best decision I have made this decade. The year 2019 had incredible highlights but this decade for me has been quite the journey, a phenomenal one! Thank you God 🙏🏾 Thanks for reading this post. It was a different tone than my normal. I felt the desire to express what this last decade truly meant to me. Do you have a profound decade tale you want to share or thoughts on mine? Let me know by leaving a comment below! photoshoot deets📸For those of you who have been following my brand/blog @YOURFASHIONFAIRY you are familiar with me sharing Ryan's in-depth knowledge and passion for photography. In our city we hung out for a black and white themed 'photowalk' event hosted by @JXNphotowalk. These images are large format (4"x 5") black and white film, shot on a beautiful Tachihara field camera. I purposely wore these embellished pearl leggings and my fur mule slides for texture and contrast shooting in black and white.
Ryan developed and scanned the film at home with his own chemicals and equipment. If you look at the photo edges you can see the film #. These images are so rich in detail and tone! He is very knowledgeable about and talented in photography. Looking for a photography services of any kind, let me know we got you!
