I will forever cherish my moments at Masseria Dei Vini…
The most Authentic Italian Restaurant in Midtown West NYC with such an enchanting ambiance its a MUST dine when in the city...my last night for Fashion Week, I was honored with the opportunity to host a dinner party in collab with Masseria Dei Vini featuring its latest restaurant menu with other influencers as my special invited guests.
I was extremely excited to taste what's new on the menu...as always the food is phenomenally made inspired by dishes originated in
L to R...for starters a homemade stuffed mozzarella w/asparagus, peppers, and speck,
(an Italian cured, smoked meat); grilled baby octopus & cuttlefish on a bed of fava beans puree tropea's onions...the grille flavor was pleasantly present on that octopus, so tasty!
L to R...golden fried calamari, shrimp, and sea scallops; salmon tartar on a bed of capers & pickles w/ a mustard sauce...the fried shellfish combination was a hit at the table!
of course homemade pasta was served...Its the Italian way :) We each had a pasta combination platter with a serving of the 'risotto of the day' to share...
L to R...homemade half moon shaped ravioli stuffed with veal, in a mix wild mushroom sauce & little ears shape pasta with broccoli rabe ( a super food veggie of tender leaves with robust flavor; popular in Italian cuisine) & sausage. The 'risotto of the day' was with shrimp, green peas, and a touch of tomato sauce...deliciously divined!
OH the fish entrees were suburb! We were served 3 different dishes, 2 of them were the special of the night...
L to R...grilled tuna steak w/whipped potatoes; grilled salmon fillet, over grilled zucchini in mustard sauce; of the specials was branzino fish ( one of the most widely farmed fish in Italy) topped with a black olive tomato medley. If you love salmon then you are in luck because you can order the TRANCIO DI SALMONE CON SALSA ALLA MOSTARDA off the menu...honestly I thoroughly enjoyed them all!
The desserts are spectacular, in presentation and taste! The selection NEVER disappoints...this tasting exceeded my palate expectations by a far stretch! My guests were in awe as each treat made its way to our table...
One of the desserts pictured (furthest to the right) is the 'signature cake' of Masseria Dei Vini, the TORTA MASSERIA; A vanilla custard sponge & puff pastry cake, topped with a profiterole & chocolate ganache...Can you imagine what that could possibly taste like?!
Of course serving impeccable dishes, this magnificent establishment would have nothing but the best team of service. Everyone is always accommodating to your dining needs, so attentive of your experience... I cant express enough how incredible the staff is!
I will always be grateful to Masseria Dei Vini for this collaboration opportunity...it was my pleasure to host and highlight their exquisite Italian cuisine.
